Are you ready to snuggle up with the little ones and watch lots of festive films?
Here’s a helpful list of some of the Christmas films for kids available on BBC iPlayer, Netflix and Disney+ this December.
To help you select the right kind of film we’ve separated them out into films for older children and films for younger children. Many of the titles we listed for older kids have slightly scary scenes that might upset younger children or the subject matter might appeal more to an older child.
BBC iPlayer
Christmas Films for younger children:
- The Gruffalo’s Child

Whilst there aren’t many child-friendly Christmas specific films on iPlayer, they do have all the Wallace and Gromit films. Also available are a fantastic selection of animated films based on popular Julia Donaldson books, such as Zog, The Gruffalo, Room on the Broom, The Snail and the Whale, Superworm and The Highway Rat.
