If you need to buy a present for a one year old it’s tough to know where to start. It needs to be something they can be challenged by to stimulate their brain, but not something too difficult they will get frustrated or bored with. We think this selection of toys for a one year old would all make the perfect Christmas present.
Wee Gallery Ocean Animals Puzzle
This puzzle is fantastic for little fingers to work out how to pop the shapes back into their holders. You can also use the figures in an ocean themed play setup when you need to get your hands on a whale or -other animals- The back of the puzzle’s base is beautifully illustrated and can be used to as a matching game.
TickiT Blocks
We absolutely adore these blocks from TickiT. The sensory blocks will keep your child entertained but are also oddly satisfying for adults to twist and turn to see and hear the blocks make sounds and change inside. You can also get the rainbow block set which although they don’t have all the sensory elements they are just as captivating and wonderful for using with a light table or close to a window. You could even take a couple of blocks on an outdoor adventure to peer through them at different things as you go.
Tender Leaf Toys Stacking Fir Tree
This adorable stacker would make a great gift for a one year old. The pieces are quite easy to slide onto the pole and stack and are beautifully finished so they look great and feel great. The little bird on top acts as a way of keeping the pieces in place and the upright pole will softly collapse when any pressure is applied which makes it a safer option that other similar stackers.
